We’re delighted to bridge Ireland with not one but TWO great Fintech communities! On 8th June 2017 we connected Fintech Ireland with Fintech Serbia and Fintech Croatia.


This event was supported in Ireland by the folks at fscom, and in Serbia by ICTHub Belgrade.

Connecting Fintech Communities

Our mission is to connect grass-roots Fintech communities across Europe to support collaboration, international growth and the spread of great ideas. 

We started with an overview of the Fintech Ecosystem in each country.
Dave Anderson presented an overview of the Fintech Ecosystem in Ireland. Dave is a collaborator at FintechIreland and Head of Consulting at Ammeon, where he helps companies accelerate their product delivery cycles. Dave has two decades of experience in engineering and management roles in telecoms and financial services, is a founder of a number of companies, and holds a BSc (hons) in Software Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Product Management. LinkedIn, Twitter: @gingertechie

Dusan Vukanovic presented an overview of the Fintech Ecosystem in Serbia. Since 2013 he is active in the areas of technology entrepreneurship as an author, lecturer and mentor. He has mentored successful tech startups from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece and Serbia. Since 2015 he is Innovation and Business Development Consultant to ICT Hub, #1 center for technology entrepreneurship and corporate innovation in Serbia, where he  focuses on helping corporations embrace the knowledge, power and energy of tech startups. In 2016 he has joined team of founders of One Assessment, a tech startup in the area of recruitment and human resources management, where he puts into practice his own expertise and experience in the fields of human resources, entrepreneurship and working with tech startups. RegTech

Our theme for the event is RegTech, and we’re delighted to have speakers Peter Cowap and Leona O’Brien from the Governance Risk Compliance Technology Centre.


Leona O’Brien BBus, BCL, LLM currently works as a senior researcher within the GRCTC, and is actively involved across the research platform, engaging with the GRCTC’s industry members and partners, and academic actors on the areas of semantic technologies, AI and Law, and Finance to ensure the research and proofs of concept developed at the GRCTC help with the regulatory compliance and risk management challenges faced by the financial industry.  She has a number of academic publications on the application of semantic technologies for financial regulation. Peter G Cowap is currently the Director of the Technology Centre for Financial Services – Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRCTC), where the EI-IDA funded Centre contributes to enhancing global standards and Ireland͛s value proposition in the FinTech/RegTech/RiskTech space. Peter holds an LL.B (hons) in law (Leeds) and an MBA (Management) from the City University (now CASS) Business School, London and has accumulated extensive international experience in the corporate governance and regulatory domain, having held senior positions in a number of banks and corporations including; HSBC, Credit Suisse First Boston, Nomura and more recently the AIB Group, where he was Head of Financial Crime. Fintech Serbia, Fintech Croatia

Dragan Milovanovic is cofounder and CTO of Circle.Money, innovative regional startup from Croatia/Serbia. He is in charge for development and strategic issues of company. Very active in Fintech world, founder of Fintech Serbia trying to promote Fintech in the region and to help others starting their companies. Dragan has 15+ years of experience in software development working on all positions, from developer to team leader and project manager. He worked for biggest regional software companies such as Asseco and Comtrade, mainly working on enterprise financial services and government products.
